Chad usually gets back to me when I email him. I never had issues with CBRD, his shop is top notch. But they are always busy and have plans expanding to larger place and more employees IIRC.

cbrd has been the only shop to do work on my evo so they are def worth giving a call and waiting for reply. sometimes they can be hard to get a hold of but they have alot of work to do with small staff but that means good quality work

actually this is how buisness is done in the real world and how you lose customers, emails and pms are proof that you made an effort, where as a voicemail is easy to overlook

when a vendor doesnt pm me back it pisses me off and i look elsewhere
maybe thats not what everyone else does but its what i do

I too - Called and spoke to Chad at length in Sept about a build for my car. I emailed him a mod list, and a complete list of the parts, etc -- Spoke at length over the build, tune and any recommendations he would make.

Granted I was on a time crunch - I was moving to SoCal to work a contract on Camp Pendleton, MCB. After the 25 min phone call and the email -- I received nothing back. Now granted I was in a rush -- ANY form of email would have been nice. CBRD always gets high praises and they are only a 4ish hour drive for me. Plus I hang out in Stewartstown a lot(just south of them). I would have been glad to deliver the car to them.

I sent one email to shep - He said - Sure thing we will take on your build and in 6 days my car was in ohio and the keys in johns hand. Well -- 10 grand later... I get to go pick up my new beast from Shep on dec 16th. After David tunes it I hope to blast out some 11 flats next year.. maybe even down in to the 10's if I can learn to drive haha

Those simple emails/calls are money. Now, granted a lot of calls dont lead anywhere.. just tire kickers wondering.. I however was extremely serious.

You win some, you lose some... Can't please 'em all... That's the nature of business... Good Luck!

Chad by the way is a great guy but very busy!!! He's not just dealing with us in the US, he has customers all over the world on his cojones wanting his business... Patience...

Same thing here. It must get frustrating for shop owners to deal with all the tire kickers but some of the real customers fall through the cracks. Oh well

Thats why I dont really hold them at fault for not getting back to me -- I was in a rush. But I would have thought SOME email or contact would have been nice? I am pretty sure I made it very clear on the phone I was in a timed situation.

;(

we are by no means perfect.

Our business model is significantly changing over the course of winter and spring... And I am confident that we can get these issues resolved.

Thanks for the support,

we are striving to better serve our clients!

I can understand the OP's frustration, but I think CBRD is caught in the middle of it's "growing pains". CBRD is one of the handful of shops in the Evo community that can be "trusted" and has continued to build momentum from their success.

In any business, when customer demand outstrips your ability to supply goods or services a business can find itself at a crossroads.

Eventually, CBRD will need to make a decision as to what their next step will be. If they stay as they are and continue the high quality work then issues such as this may become more common (especially when Spring rolls around )

The trick is expanding and keeping the same level of quality. Many companies (both auto and non-auto related) take the next step of expansion and the level of quality goes down which ultimately tarnishes that Brand.

Think of what it is like to try to get a tranny to TRE or Shep during race season turned around in a week; can't be done as demand outstrips supply. If companies can't find the quality/skilled people to provide the same level of support then they are smart enough not to expand at the risk of tainting the brand.

CBRD has done a great job over the past 2 years creating a respected and trusted brand. If they stay as they are, it will just require a bigger window and better planning from the customer to utilize their services.
