Cessna's STM FF 6262: Stock Motor: 550 HP!

Many of you know the story behind Chris's 04 Evo RS, first 4g63 to hit a 9 in the quarter mile with a stock bottom end on an FP Red, but there is always room for improvement.

Chris, being first and foremost like family to us, is also a very dedicated customer. He puts his full trust in STM and while he is off serving the good old USA... it's time for his second family in the states to fab up something new.

So we decided it was time to go ***** to the wall and get it done! In went the STM Forward Facing 6262 turbo kit, bringing this car up 90 peak HP and well over 100 hp @ 7500 RPM from the FP Red set-up and the 9.9 @ 140...

And, yes, STILL STOCK BLOCK!

Still running the same 33 psi on E85... and wanting more!

Let's get this bad boy to a track!

If i ever wanted to push the limits of my stock motor I know who I'd have to travel to go see.

No real expectations, just goals. We would like to see faster than a 9.7 and the MPH around 147.

Question: When pushing the stock bottom end this far (which it seems you guys have become experts on) how close to the "brink" do you think you're taking this car? I would assume the customer is fully expecting this thing to blow at some point or another? Then he would build the bottom end...?

By no means i'm i trying to be an ***...simply curious

To be honest, We have no idea where it ends as we have not found it yet. I am more than sure it has to be close but who cares. You will never push the envelope playing it safe! Breaking records and learning is what it is all about for us and we are lucky to have customers/friends in the same boat! It's kinda what makes it fun.

Yes it is on stock rod bolts, and yes the plan is to get it on the track before years out.

I know all the possibilitys of the block going and honestly let it go. you will never know how far you can push things till you try. I am glad to have a 2nd family in STM

Wow. You guys are making it really difficult for me to let the stock block go. If I didn't have a/c, I would love to try out one of those forward facing manifolds with a T3 turbo. I think I'll just wait to see how you guys do. Best of luck to team STM.
