what's the best way to attach aluminum mesh to my body kit
Hey guys, I just bought a new body kit from Accolade, and this time I want to install it myself, I just got it yesterday now I need some tips on how to install the aluminum mesh onto the body kits itself, some people tell me to use zip ties, other people tell me to use potty, i just need a definetive answer... please help.
Good question I going to order mine soon and that was a question that I was dying to find out lol.
Also does the mesh come with the kits or do you have to purchase it seperately?

Step 1) Bend mesh around openings.
Step 2) Mix some body filler (aka bondo)
Step 3) Spread a little bondo where the mesh and bumper overlap on the backside.. think of it as a really strong thick glue. =D Thats how I did my old body kit on my talon/eclipse. It never fell off.
optional.. or you can always put round ***** of bondo on the inside of the bumpers around the openings and stick bendable metal in it.. (almost like a paperclip... but not breakable when they bend) That way you can take out the grill mesh if you wanted later on. Just bend the grill mesh over the opening from the backside, then bend those little metal nail type things to hold on the grill mesh.

THIS is THEEE correct wa to do this
Well, I got my mesh from two different places... I got a big sheet from ebay, they call it the "t1000" or something like that mesh, and then I went to home depot by the construction and building deparment and found out this mesh that is almost like the one I bought in ebay but it's a little bit easier to bend, the home depot folks call it "chicken wire". It cost $5.46 for a a huge sheet that would do for a whole car.
I have combine the two methods that you guys suggested and added some of my own...
When I was in home depot looking for zip ties I ran into this product that is called "Mounting pads", it is pretty much a plastic sticky pad with an opening in it so you can insert the zip tie through and I said "ha" this could work. So I bought the pads, and the body filler thing. I put some body filler in the back side of the pad and I stick it in the back side of the holes of the body kit, waited till' the filler dried then I cut some mesh the size of the holes plus like a half an inch everywhere, then I proceed to insert the zip ties through the half inch of the mesh and then through the hole of the pad, I didn't tie it all the way though and i did that with all the pad and then I procced to tie them evenly. It's been like a week now and this method works. and if I ever want to remove the mesh it's really easy just cuts the ties and voila.
