Sold!


Hello,
I purchased a built block and ended up saving the stock block at 55k miles from my car. It is in excellent condition, and had never been taken apart. A compression test was done prior to removal and the results were consistent at ~120 psi (cold) across all cylinders. My plans were to save it incase I need it for the future, but currently need the funds for other modifications.
The block will include the full rotating assembly including the oil squirters and oil pan. Looking for $1300 local pick up (Metro Detroit, MI).

Items removed from the engine and carried over to the new engine; oil pump, water pump, oil pick up tube, oil scraper, and timing components.

not even sure how much it would cost and how to ship such a piece. I am open to suggestions tho!

Best way to do it is wire it down to a wooden shipping pallet. Same pallets you see at Home Depot or Costco. Wrap the whole block in several layers of stretch wrap and use thick safety wire to tie it down to the pallet. Run wire through each of the transmission bolt holes on one side and anything else that is solid on the other.

Ship it through freight companies like Estes for the lowest price, but I i'd guess it would cost between $200.00-$300.00 to ship. You should be able to call them to come pick it up from your house.
