Low Mileage MR on BaT: over $40K?

I'm betting it will be the first on record sale of an EVO VIII/IX over $40K. We're not in Supra territory yet (or maybe ever) but the market is speaking on the value of clean, low mileage cars.

Certainly pleasing to see our EvO's have gained in value rather than just some throwaway piece

But, cars are to be driven & modded if thats your preference

Even, here in So.Cal, they are becoming a rare sight to spot one randomly during a DD

I put 175,000 miles on my Evo before I pulled the engine to put in a stroker motor. I plan on driving even more, and have not one care about the miles

I bought mine to drive too but as a weekender, it doesn't pile on miles like a DD

Supra’s garner those prices for two reasons, the fast and furious and outright buyer stupidity plain and simple lol. A stock supra is not a performer compared to a stock evo.

I'm glad it did well on BaT. Now I don't feel so bad for paying nearly $29k for my 44k mi SE...

A factory evo performs and drives better than both the older NSX and Supra. Yet, look at the prices of them all. Must be a numbers game, the less there are left, the more expensive they will become.

I think the car was well bought, it is a beautiful car. Hopefully the new owner becomes a member here and we can follow along for the ride.
