subscribed threads User CP problem

everytime i log in, i click on 'User CP' because it shows me which of my subscribed threads have been updated with new posts since the last time i was here. but lately it seems like it's been showing me threads that have no new posts.

it's just kind of a pain to think that there is something new to read in a thread because it's on my list of updated threads (and in bold text and everything), and then find out that there is not.

i dont know if anyone else is bothered by this (i didn't search), but is there a way to make that function work better?

thanks

It could be an issue with how vBulletin uses cookies to store what threads you have viewed and when (right now it only stores your last login and last activity, but not the last read time for each thread). If you lose those cookies it thinks you haven't read things you have, etc.

I know a number of admins have compained about this to vBulletin, so hopefully we'll get an upgraded version one of these days. If you're just not starting to experience this issue, check your cookie settings. If you happen to use different computers, that may also cause the issue because each one will have different cookie values.
