Other vendors do not seem to have the same latitude afforded evodave, but you can solve the issue by clicking this link:

if you don't like the thread starters post, don't reply at all.

Also, nobody said evodave doesn't do a good job, the thread starter recognize his good work, he simply said evodave bump his threads to much and they wash out other threads. Evodave is a vendor, he can post his new creations to be bought in the vendor forum. We dont need the first 15 therads in "show and shine" to be evodave threads. It's not "evodave show and shine".

I think evo dave is great, however i have always tried to do my mods myself even if i break something once. I usually succeed in the end with little trouble. I encourage everyone to try new and challeging things to thier evo without worrying about breaking things. I'm sure evodave had to find out how to modify headlights and tail lights by just doing it once.
Sorry that's my two cents, plus i want to see some exciting new mods instead of the same stuff.

Like he said, I never said Evodave isn't great, but either make his thread(s) a sticky, or move them so that they aren't the first thing everyone has to see every day. I'm sure Evodave wouldn't mind having his advertisements stickied.

I'm not faulting Evodave, he's gotta do what he's gotta do, but i think there's easier ways to do it without having the first page of show and shine filled with his posts.

For all of you who are obviously too stupid to understand that i wasn't talking **** about evodave or his products, try making valid points and maybe people will take you seriously.

Well unfortunately I don't think anything will change Matt. Although I agree with you on all points, Dave does do very impressive work, in a timely fashion with MANY very happy consumers. I guess I just relate it to Al @ Dynoflash -- meaning, he used to post quite often about flashes, and alot of people were happy. There was a fallout, and as a vendor he was restricted to posting in vendor approved locations. I don't see why evodave shouldn't be held to the same standards as the rest of the vendors.. But, this isn't our board to run, so we will just accept the management and moderating staff's judgement, it is theirs to make.

Huh? You really think the management and moderators are the only ones whose opinions matter? We don't owe them anything. It's the contributions of the membership that make this place worth spending time here. Any twit can register a domain and install forum software--I know, I've done it--the hard part...really hard part...is attracting and maintaining a successful membership base able to draw paying advertisers.

All I'm saying is that if the consensus wants a change, management better have a good reason for not making it.

On the evodave topic specifically, I thought his constant bumps of every thread related to his lights were annoying before he became a vendor. I'm glad he's a vendor now, and I've never heard any complaints about his work, but the constant hustling outside the vendor forums should end, preferrably voluntarily.

well i guess that it is nice that not one person has anything bad to say about my products. Some of these threads are many many pages long (some over 45 pages long) and won't be shut down i am sorry. I bump them for purposes of making sales.....the last few days i haven't bumped them and i have a 1/4 the hits on fotki interms of people looking at my pics as well as pm's that i normally do. It is important to my business to keep people seeing the products and new items available. I won't post in people threads advertising or offering my services but my other threads will be around for a while. Thanks to all and i want everyone to realize that first and foremost i am a enthusiast that is here because i love cars. I love to offer a good , quality and inexpensive alternative to other light offerings. I have help tons of members on here with tech info that has nothing to do with my lights and i will always be here to help.
Regards,
Dave

what i like about this thread is that the starter was complainin about too many threads and bumps, then essentially started another one to help advertise evodave and his products which gets bumped with every reply.
