How about....NO! Giving the members the ability to remove their post(s) entirely is a risky move.

For instance, a bastard member decides to fool around the entire forums and starts to **** with other members, now that particular member can simply delete those very posts or evidences thus preventing the staff from knowing what actually happened.

So, please, exercise common sense when creating threads, such as this one.
