Close repeated/redundant threads

All too often, we get newbies that start a thread on a subject that is well documented and just needed to be searched. In the last few weeks, we have had several threads on wax in the EVO general section.

A) wrong section
B) topic has been beaten to death.

Can't you close or delete these redundant threads?

Thanks

Yes.

Sometimes posts slip under the radar. If you report the post we can usually respond quicker. There should be an exclamation icon () in each post and that will let you shoot a quick email to the mods of the forum to check things out.

would it be a bad idea to make a sticky in the evo general section about using the search feature??

I am pretty computer literate but maybe not everyone is aware as to how this function works.

I agree that it's nice to keep the forums clean, but still, no matter how many stickies, highlights, threats, whatever, is done about the search feature, many people will still ignore it. *sigh*
