about searching and ageism

i think the best thing for this forum is enforcing not being able to speak about ageism because it waste's half the threads and is useless garbage when i'm trying to find usable information. 2ndly when a million people tell someone to search...i think it should be enforced that telling someone to search shouldn't be allowed..

thank you please consider

Maybe they should enforce someone searching first before enforcing someone telling another one to search. If one search before posting on topics that have been discussed many many times with no change, then there wouldn't be anyone telling another one to search.

It is because people don't search before posting, that is why people tell others to search. Not the other way around.

thats true...but if no one answers them then they will be forced to search...there are always the few nice guys who tell them what they want to know.... thats how the forum should be 100% friendly...we're all on the same side....i was on audiworld.com with my old car for a little more than two years and people were never so rude to each other

Maybe they were a bit more mature over there?!?! Maybe most of them do search as oppose to people here. I am not at all against posting to ask a question. But think it is just ridiculous when someone comes in and ask the same question that's been asked many many times and nothing have change. They would have easily figure it out if they spend a little bit of time. For example, stupid questions such as which is the loudest BOV, or why does my Evo brakes squeek. Or which is the best "(insert produt)"??? It's like you will only get one answer when you ask a "what is the best" question. Anyhow, sorry for the rant.

This forum, I'm sad to say, is not the most mature bunch. The relatively large active member base further complicates things. That being said...

I'm failing to see the benefit of coddling the person who doesn't make even a minimal effort to solve his own problems. The search process only gets more complex when we have 40,000 of the same thread. What's the best intake, exhaust, tire etc? All the information becomes increasingly diffuse as more and more threads are started, thus making it more and more difficult for those who actually look first to find it.

I think the mods have to do an holocaust on those useless threads. I am new to the forum and when I do a search for something usually I get pretty big results with ALOT of garbage threads the complicate the search. DELETE all those threads where the first or second reply is DO A SEARCH YOU LAZY BUM also they should try to delete the countless repost of videos everybody has seen a thousand times. It takes valuable space from evom! anyway, that is just my opinion...
