45 Second Wait Between PM's

As a Vendor on this fine site. Is there any way we can make it 30 seconds or 20 seconds? I have 10-15 private messages every morning. I guess i am waiting around 35 seconds after i get done with one PM. If you guys can bring it down a bit that would be fantastic.

It's extremely hard on the hardware without that delay. The good news is I'm upgrading the servers, which means we'll have a little more resources to possibly support lowering the delay.

Dumb question - could you multitask? When I have a few to answer, I'll have my email in one window and PMs in another. It helps pass the time and get more done.

Or just type longer responses.

Doe it put less wear on the servers when you hit "submit" 10 times during that 45 second period and the server has to kick back that stupid error message every time?

I mean, if it does, great.... but to me it seems like it would take more resources to give an error 10 times than to send a short message once.

Yes it does put less wear on the servers to have the error page come up. When a Pm gets sent, the command triggers a set of other processes. An example of a process: email notifications of when a PM is recieved. An error message doesn't trigger any action but a simple page with text on it.
