What about a job section?

Most of us on this forum are educated people always looking to further our education, knowledge, and experience. Is it possible to put up a section for jobs? People can post if there company is hiring and people looking can search whats out there.

I am always looking for a better job. I have BS in electronic engineering and working as a mechanical engineer for the last 3 years. I am willing to move almost anywhere in the US.

it sounds like an interesting idea and i will talk to the admins about it. HOWEVER, there is no way that this will ever be as good as a dedicated jobs website such as monster.com etc.. from my experience, general sections in a dedicated forum never work as good as a dedicated forum..

thats what I was thinking, however it may open some doors since I don't know of any site where the members all know each other from other interests in life besides job searching. This would give an advantage to the more productive members, and of course a disadvantage to those who like to start flame wars and nothing else my .02

I agree it will never be as good as dedicated job search, and it does even have to be just for jobs it could also be for people doing some stuff on the side too. Like i do some AutoCAD drawings for friends and locals and would love to do it for people on here if they needed that service for a small fee. I just kinda figured members may want to help each other out.

Seems like it'd be ripe for spam and abuse, too. Not sure I like the idea.
