This is a real silly question on my part, but one I have to ask anyway. Is he logged in with his user name when he is trying to post or reply?

He's either not logged in or didn't confirm his e-mail address on his account. Tell him to check the e-mail address he registered with and/or create a new user name.

Hi:

This is thewesman20's bro. Thanks for the replys.

Yes, I am logged in when I try to post a topic or reply. The screen I receive says that I am not authorized to do so and says that I may need to upgrade to a 'premium' member. (???) or that the administrator has not activated my account. I signed up over 4 months ago.

My email is confirmed because I am able to change the password so the system has to send me a new password in order to change the existing one.

If I try to setup a new account, I get stopped because the bot says that there is already someone registered w/ the same email address and it will not let me proceed.

Is there a way to wipeout my account to reset everything??

The user name is : mhgsx

thanks,

sonny

You should get an email with a confirmation link so that you can activate your account. According to the system right now, your account is awaiting activation. I just resent the link to your yahoo mail account that was listed on the site. If you don't happen to get the email from us, just send me an email and I'll take care of it.

Problems posting messages to forums etc

Hi Westman20! I share your frustration; I recently joined this site (for the sole purpose of seeing the picture of the guy "trying to kill himself while driving a RUF CTR advertised!!) and it has taken me a long time to figure out how to navigate and participate. I think I just figured out how you post. If, for instance, you click on "Site Feedback and Suggestions" (where I read your plea for help), follow your post past the column that lists the date you posted (April 23, 2003), you will see and little, albeit unobtrusive, grey box. When you move your mouse to it you will get the typical "helping hand" that will take you where you want to go by double clicking. Hope this helps!

PS - I have already sent two messages to whomever administers this site about our commmon problem and am still waiting for an answer. I find the site extremely complicated and geared more to those who have a substantial background in coding languages for computers. I have never seen so much technical info before. Example: If you've seen the info on "vB" if you don't know what's up on current coding you wouldn't know that stands for VisualBasic, one of the more recent computer coding languages. I only know about it because I have a number of friends who are software engineers and that's all they do for a living. Enjoy the rest of the week; hope you don't continue to be so frustrated! If I find the time I will try to get one of my friends to go through this site and explain what's up with all the technical options offered and pass this on to you all!

vB is vBulletin ...a forum program. I dunno whether you're being serious or sarcastic. If you really need help...I guess PM me. Seeing that you've been able to PM and post I don't really understand what the problem is.

Well, I didn't find "smilie" indicating "Sorry I crammed my foot down my throat". I was not trying to be sarcastic; I was just trying to be helpful. Next time, I'll have my computer geeks edit what I post so I won't look so dumb.

By the way, where is the picture of the guy driving the RUF CTR? Was that listed out on Google by mistake? Thanks for setting me straight. I'll have to find out more about vBulletin.

Have a great evening!
