It should be over now.

I'm in the middle of upgrading our systems and I accidentally had the wrong set of permissions.

This reminds me of 1st time trying dial-up after 3 years of cable internet,so frustrating
I am having withdrawl symptoms,I need HELP!!!!!!!!

BTW,any other site on the entire net that I have tried is no problem so I know it is not on my end,or at least I dont think so.
Took 5 minutes just to get this far as to attempt to make this post.
I had that problem last night and today. This is the first time I've been able to get right into the site. Maybe server traffic?

Well, it is what it is....just be glad we have this site.

I'm in the middle of upgrading our systems, so there may be some slow time while I move stuff around.

Well, seems like the evom.net/forums page is still taking a while to load, but search page loads in much quicker. That boostcrap ad was killing the site last night!

It really has nothing to do with the ads system. What makes the site slow is the amount of information being pulled from our forums. We don't archive anything here so bascially when someone searches, it's pulling posts from 2003 (which include images). Usually we have anywhere from 500 - 1000 users here accessing the site at the same time. So imagine half of that number searching the forums at the same time. It really takes a lot of juice to support that.

Also last night I was backing up the entire site and its contents, so adding that to the normal traffic really put a strain on things.

Wow, I started trying to find out why things were so slow 2 days ago - it took me this long just to get to page 4 of this thread!

Just kidding! Things actually seem faster today than they have in the past. Keep the updates coming!
