Search timeout?

When I run a search and start sifting through the info I experience a time out of sorts when I start reading through chosen threads.

I hit the back button to get back to the main listing of sorted threads but after a time the system says something to the effect of "sorry no search terms matched your query".

ONe ends up having to run the search all over again which can be a pain when you have been through a number of pages of threads.

CAn this be changed?

Basically what you experienced was a time out in your session. Each time you search, the results are stored in temp memory for certain amount of time (ex. 20 minutes). If there isn't activity within that time frame then the memory will dump the data. Setting a longer time session won't really solve anything because I won't be able to judge the amount of time it takes each person to read a thread within the results pulled. Also setting a longer session will take more reasources away from the site, making it slower.

One suggestion would be to change the way you read your search results. For example, when you get your results, page through everything and right click over the thread(s) you want to read and open it in a new window first. That way you can take your time reading through each thread and not have to worry about a time out.

"evo suspension" specifically in "evolutionm.net > US Lancer Forums > US Lancer (ES, LS, OZ) Tech Forums > US Lancer Tires, Wheels, Brakes & Suspension - Sponsored by The Tire Rack"

the word "evo" is what is causing the error. There are a ton of topics with the word "evo" and it causes a memory overload. The site's software is out dated and will be updated. For now I'll try to see if I can find a bandaid so it can work in the meantime.
