What happened to the 50 Trim Thread?
What happened to the 50 Trim Thread?
VIP garage and another member had a thread going on a 50 Trim Borgwarner
S200 build. What happened? Im very interested in the results!

Wow...I remember reading some of that stuff. I remember VIP being quite humble. Who was bashing? I think that kit is gonna be the new pump gas king. I hope they post results!
hey folks, i am not sure why it got deleted, i did my best not to break any rules but i didn't see if anything was posted in the day before it got closed.
I am also working on signing up as a sponsor so that the thread can stay up as long as no one else comes in and ruins it by bad mouthing.
either way the fuel system is about done and we are hoping to have the car up and running this week. you can pm me if you would like to be updated in the mean time.

VIPGarage,
Just post in this thread when you have results, then. I don't think you did anything wrong either. You were simply testing this turbo in the housing and manifold it was designed for.
I'm sure your thread was deleted becasue of other vendor(s) crying about it. Since other vendor(s) couldn't show good numbers with 'their' parts, they didn't want someone else showing good number without them.
It's just ridiculous the amount of politics that goes on in these forums. I thought it was only at work in Corporate America where I had to deal with that bullcrap.
Just because one vendor is a paying sponsor doesn't give him the right to get other unbiased information pulled from this forum.
Isn't this forum about sharing information? Quit deleting relevant threads just because some vendor tested a turbo with his parts, failed, and therefore can't profit off of it the way he wanted to. This community has the right to see all testing from all vendors with whatever part combination works, period. If it doesn't work for vendor A with his parts, who gives a crap. If vendor B wants to test the turbo in a different fashion, let him do so. We will all (being the community) benefit from such testing. Maybe vendor A won't, but it's not all about him...it's about us as a whole.
I applaud VIPGarage for taking the time to share his information and I am sorry that your thread was deleted. Hopefully this one will stay and no other vendors will come into your thread and try to have it deleted.
Eric
P.S. Moderators: if you do delete a thread, can you at least give the thousands of people that browse this forum a reason for doing so? It's a bit disheartening looking for a thread that you have been eager to keep up with to see that it has vanished without a trace.

Like I stated I think this little turbo is really going to work well. Just look at the Hondas running this turbo, its nuts. I know every car is diffrent, but I think the Evo will really shine with this setup! Please Keep this thread up!
I thought this was a question about the thread I started.
I read you comments l2rgst, it is quite simple why it was probably taken down. Just read the rules about posting on EVOm.
You said ANY VENDOR should be able to post his results and testing and I also agree with you. BUT it is clearly stated in the rules of this site that you MUST BE A PAYING VENDOR of EVOM to post such information.
I am sure if he gets his vendor status he can post whatever he wants.
Have a nice day.

Rule #1 states the following:
"No vendor advertising unless registered with our site. This includes but is not limited to threads, posts, avatars, and signatures. For advertising information please click here."
Where in this quote does it say that someone, even a vendor, can't share results of testing? Advertising and testing are two different things.
Why are you so against this, Dave? Is it because you can't sell these with your manifold or in a way that would profit to your liking? Is it because you don't want competition for some of your (FP's) newer turbos like the 20G-LT?
I mean, why go out of your way to take a thread down that was simply sharing information with the Evo community. It just looks pretty selfish on your part. I don't remember one thing in that thread that said anything bad about you or Buschur racing. It was simply a new thread to test the ET50 trim in a different housing, the one in which it was designed to run.
I mean, even you yourself were all excited about the turbo, until you found that it wouldn't work in the Mitsu housing. OK, fine, that's done....we appreciate the testing. But, don't take the testing away from someone else and worse yet, take the thread down from the site so everyone loses, but you.

Its sad to see vendors crying about a post. I will never buy anthing from a vendor or a member that is a crying little "Female dog". Its just plain retarted. Not to mention they are really hurting thier business. Im sure thier is plenty of people who are a member on this board and do not post. And if they see vendor being a crying little "female dog" Im sure they wont buy products from that vendor.
I called a vendor on this board when I first got my IX. I called and asked them if they had any fitment issues with thier 3 inch down pipe. They acted like I was stupid. They said "Yea, of corse it works. We dont have problems with OUR downpipe" They acted as if they were king ****, my **** dont stink attitued. I hung up... and will never buy a product from that vendor.
I think VIPs kit will do fantastic. Good luck guys and keep us updated.
This Is The Kind Of Crap That Gets Treads Deleted.......cant Believe U Guys Would Come On Hear Bashing David. The Guy Always Been A Big Help To The Evo Community. Not Cool.....mods Delete Treads Cuz They Feel Someone Is Not Going By The Rules Or The Tread Has No Meaning For Being Not Cuz Dave Tells Them To Delete It. And Dave Has Nothing To Prove To The Next Vendor.

I brought up very good points and very good questions. If you have nothing better to add, stay out of the thread. I took the time to post threads like that because I can't stand seeing people left in the dark, with paying vendors getting the upper hand.
For myself I couldn't care less. I share all of the information that I have and I work with people who do the same. I have been modding the 4g63 way longer than Evos have been in the US and I know enough that I don't have to rely on vendors and statements that they make. I can tell when some vendors lie or hide the facts and are just worried about their bottom line. But it seems like people like you just want to jump on the fanboy bandwagon. Go ahead. I don't care, but the reason I even made posts like that in the first place is to try to help people like you. If you don't want it, fine. I don't have to help.
Eric
