Don't allow vendors to post prices they dont honor!

Here is a suggestion:

Don't allow vendors to post prices they don't honor! I Place an order with Gruppe-S for an advertised price Link

only to have them call me back after I order it and tell me they won't honor the price any longer and then close the topic. Last time I checked "while supplies last" meant until you run out of the product, not until we feel like jacking up the price.

OMG.. They had the nerve to authorize my credit card for the 699$ anyway, even when I said to cancel the order if they were not gonna honor the price!

FWIW, its quite possible they processed the authorization before you even called. It does not necessarily mean that they are going to charge you after you cancelled your order.

No more talk on this transaction. This is not a review thread.

Also, in general, that would be a rule. Its called false advertising. However, just because they did not give you that price does not mean they were trying to rip you off or falsely advertise a price. It is possible that they ran out of supplies at that price and despite their best intentions, did not realize right away. This does happen as they may have gotten a good deal on say 10 items. Although they have more, they paid more for the rest. There are many explanations.

So, that all said, it is a rule of advertising.
