I believe you have to have at least 50 posts inorder to post a "for sale" thread.

Perhaps you should read the site rules and find out why...

I think you should be able to edit the thread title in the for sale forums...

ex. FS: 4 BBS Wheels $1,400 LOCAL ONLY

and you want to edit the price or it not be local only

I understand why you can't edit general thread titles but I think it should be allowed in the for sale forum

Which is why NASIOC is a cluster**** with 87,000,000 moved threads and banned members and . . . well, you get the picture. I refuse to use NASIOC anymore, honestly. It's just too frustrating.

There are reasons we don't allow members to edit their own threads. Everyone used to be able to edit thread titles if they were the OP. We had the problem where someone would post something dumb, get upset when people told them it was dumb, then delete the thread, thread title, or OP. People were deleting their own threads altogether when they got upset. There were also problems where OPs would change their thread title, and information would essentially be lost because nobody would be notified about the title change.

I could forsee those problems with people changing prices in thread titles or simply disposing of the evidence if they were screwing someone over on a sale. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle. Contact a staff member for For Sale thread moderation, and we'll take care of reasonable requests handily.
