Why Was The Tuner Flashing Ethics Thread Closed
So WTF??
I dont care if dynoflash is a vendor, the topic should still be open.
If a member has a review about bad customer service with a vendor, even a paying vendor, the whole community should be able to know about it (and comment on it). This is why we have forums, so we can exchange info, help each other and help others not waste money on sh!tty products/service/etc.
By closing this thread, you show the community you care more about a vendor's vendor fee payment then the community and have basically lost all sight of why you started this forum.

i agree with this,
however, the answer that the owners/admins/moderators will give makes perfect sense also. It is away to protect vendors from negative reviews over matters that can be settled. It gives the vendor a chance to settle a gripe before facing scrutiny over the matter. Its not your fault, its what happens when people before you have that first response to blast them on the boards without seeking any type of agreement.
I think there are some things that shouldnt be closed so quickly, and should be left open to discussion, but this matter is an eggshell type subject, and ultimately its the protection of the vendor consumer relationship that is desired

-Your right about it being settled and such, but then the agreed settlement should be posted so others know how the vendor dealt with it.
-On many occasions, I have heard of Al cussing at and having a bad tone with customers. There was newer members in that thread that had never heard of Al behaving that way. If older members were allowed to tell newer members that this was not the first time, then they could see Al's true character from other members reviews, therefore saving them from spending money on sh!tty customer service.

The reality is that vendors make the site stay open and pay the bills.
Positive reviews are always welcome and negative reviews should be open for discussion and input if the issue is something that has not been resolved with proper communication or response from the customer and dealer in discretion.
The original thread was fair game and did not specifically name any dealers or vendors until an open response was made by the dealer itself. It should be kept open under anonomous dealer basis for critique and better customer service examples for dealer-customer relations in the future.
If he came on here bashing a company by name and slandering its service and or quality, it should be closed and the user should be warned that stuff like that doesnt fly on the forums.

Al is notorious for his customer service, or lack there of. There is always multiple threads about this as well as his tunes not being the greatest. I got into an argument actually not too long ago about a tune he eflashed me with that caused problems.... ofcourse i tried settling it the proper way, phone call, pm, email etc... he did nothing, i blast him on the boards 6 months or so later and all of a sudden he wants to help. Needless to say i refused the offer, and now refer to his company as dynoflush lol. anyhow, this is all beside the point. You make a good point but as stated, in the end, for every one of you, there are people that do it the wrong way which is why we are so censored in the way we handle things.
While the vendors who pay for their status probably entitles them to fair treatment on this board, it is also the purpose of this forum to have the evo community express their opinions on the products and service that they receive.
The fact that the thread is still viewable does say something about the effort that the mods are making to keep the board as impartial as possible in these sticky situations. They could just take it down...
As for my own Dynoflash experiences, Al was rude to me and others. He was also very difficult to contact via email, pm’s, or phone. The guy was also perpetually very late to appointments. I will never go back.
The old days of TechTom and EcuTek ecu flashing apps being so expensive that only few would shell out the $$s are gone. It is a different game now. Long live EcuFlash.

I think that some of you are getting tied up in a heated argument, and need to step back and look at the big picture. EvoM is a business, true, and they are providing you with a service for free. In return for this service, they provide a place of advertisement to paying vendors. If the vendors are fighting a battle that no one can win, why would they be here in the first place? Al/DynoFlash is not your only means of a tune. Thank you for sharing your experience with others so they can learn from your experience. If you are unhappy with him, his service, or work ethics, move down to the next vendor/tuner.
