User CP option to disable profile javascripted links?

When a user puts an IM name in their profile, the site javascript makes my browser go out and get their status. I'd rather not disable javascript altogether, but at work it raises some eyebrows because of the hits to status.skype.com--plus, the profile name contained one of George Carlin's seven words you can't say on TV

Anyway, it's not a gigantic deal, but I'd like a checkbox to turn off the user IM status next to the checkboxes for images, signatures, and avatars.

Are you referring to the AIM/Yahoo/etc links under our names?

<----

If so, I don't think we could easily disable that. Various aspects of the site use javascript to function properly.

Yup, that's it. And that's why I'm asking if that javascript, specifically, can be disabled so I don't have to turn off javascript altogether and/or actually start doing work at work . I just want to have an option to remove the IM links, just like the option for removing avatars and signatures.
