And the biggest question is...
Will the vendor who started the thread about the "j-spec" Evo MR get points, infractions or banned? Or just the people who participated in the thread?
From looking at the responses by the moderators, they seem more than content to theaten the members versus going after the vendor who started the thread.

Is that fair to this community when the thread started by the vendor was clearly a publicity stunt for his dealership? Would the moderators feel comfortable allowing publicity stunts on our forum while handing out points and bans to it's members who contribute to said publicity stunt? I'm not saying that much of anything intelligent was said in the thread. It quickly turned into an Off-Topic thread and should have been treated as such and simply moved into Off-Topic and let it be. But to threaten the members without threatening the member seems quite unfair to this community.
Anyhow, I know I'll get points/banned for this thread or it will get close quickly, but IMHO the moderators have some explaining to do as to their position in that thread.

I took the liberty of moving your thread to this forum. I'll be brief since you will be banned for posting criticism of the moderator's and me. Special Rule No. 23 reads:
"Criticism of the moderator's, however slight, is sufficient to be considered disrespect of the staff and an immediate ban. "

We haven't a clue as to the motivation of the OP, yet. Regardless of the "motivation", personal insults are not allowed along with NWS images. Not ONE single member reported the thread. Please consider that this site averages over 4,000 new unique posts daily (and growing). It is not possible for the mods to read every post and we rely on the membership to help. My point is, we didn't know about it. Why didn't you report it? The content of this site is truly decided by you (members) and your input is important. Please do not hesitate to use the reported post function. Thanks.

I'd add that the content is decided by members within the parameters of our posting policy, which prohibits illegal activities, personal attacks, ****, and other such detrimental things. Based on a quick perusal of that thread, a lot of posts obviously fall outside of our guidelines.

How is that a threat to anybody? It's a communication to other Mods about my intentions. At no time did I say only non-vendors would get points,etc. You're reading too much into this and just making assumptions.
Also, why would I have to explain my actions in the thread? I closed the thread as soon as I found out about it.
You may feel free to voice your opinions without fear of 'being banned' but please be sure to be accurate in your accusations. Thanks.
