Any chance on an EvoM FTP server? I'd love to see something like what Timzcat used to run for the site. I know there's all kinds of potential copyright infringement technobable that's probably preventing it from happening, but whatever. Just sack up and do it.

Tim hosted the site and managed the content back when the site was a forth the size it is now. The site owner needs to balance the benefit against the bandwidth and storage requirements for videos. Plus the additional responsibilities for all the reasons you stated. There are many sites that host video's for free and I'm not sure why Evom should library videos.

There are also valid reasons for Evom to store videos for "How To" and problem demo's etc, but again the issue of bandwidth and storage come up. Along with moderation resources. The decision is spt's.

For video, we are working on embedded video playback where you can upload a video on youtube and have it play back directly within a post. We are working on another of other features, some of which pertain to video. Bandwidth would be an issue for direct video hosting on our servers
