pictures does help but i dont see the reason
ppl now days can read not like in the 60's

and sometimes pictures slow donw the website for dial up users

 

the idea of the new layout looks good.

I think many would disagree. Every day there are users that prove their inability to read or find the proper section.

As for the pictures, they'll be no more data intensive than avatars. Images will probably be no more than 20kb each.

 

Well, apparently a number of people have trouble reading which evo section they are in which this would help. But more realistically, its not about being able to or not, its about ease of navigation (makes it quicker), cleaning up the look of the site, and shortening the front idea which has become quite long.

I would have to ask SPT, but we may even be able to keep both ways so membes can choose

Maybe we will hold a vote in OT to decide the icon and change it up every so often.

I thought of another option for those at work that dont want to have pictures displayed. We could have a work option that is exactly the same, but it does not load the icons
