clean up the tech forums!!!!!! or else...

yup, you heard me, clean up the tech forum on this site, or else. Or else what you say? Or else you will loose a lot of members and interest. Is this what you moderators and admins really want? I mean, this board has gone to crap since the tech forums on the evo boards have been taken over by the *****. Stop moving posts around when they are supposed to stay in tech (when they are in fact tech related), and stop erasing posts that are of us complaining about how crappy this board has gotten. Every time i post it's moved or erased, even if it's truly supposed to be in that forum. When i was trying to spread the word about possible trouble with US evo8s, the mods kept moving the posts, and thus they weren't getting read. When i needed help, the same thing. I thought this was supposed to be a board to help each other out, not F**K each other around. But i think the admins and moderators have power trips that they don't want to let go of. I mean honestly, this site has become a joke in about 2 months time. I used to get tons of great killer info on here, now i can't even find a damn thing since nothing is kept in one place and everything else get's erased.

I like this site, the mods are ruining it. please stop the destruction of a perfectly good online community!!!

This really has to stop, erase this message and i'll just post another. Kick me off, and i'll just create a new screen name and post again. WE need to turn this board back into what it was, a great haven of info for us evo enthusiasts! Get rid of these damn mods and admins who are ruining this site, i know of abot 35 people who left already, or whom have stopped coming to this board. That is really sad that you guys are driving us away, without us, there would be no board to moderate, think about that the next time you pick on a post.

I'm sorry you think this site has gone down the tubes because of the moderators.

But here's our point of view. We have been asked by Mark, the guy who owns this place, to keep the site civil and to keep the boards on topic. HE has given us rules to abide by which are based on the user membership agreement that you all signed your initials to before becoming a member here.

To keep this place civil and on-topic , we have to sometimes move threads. To keep this place civil and on topic, we have to sometimes warn or ban members who can't follow the few simple rules of this site. It's nothing personal, and it's certainly not a power trip. It's a matter of organization and order.

If you are going to flame members of the board, you will get warned. Is it really that hard to restrain from not yelling at other members or calling them childish names or making empty threats? I don't think it is that difficult. The vast majority of members on this board don't think it's difficult to control themselves either. Those who cannot control themselves, get warned. Or upon repeated warning, they get banned.

If you do not post your thread in the correct place, it will get moved. These threads are not moved because we don't like the person who posted them. They are not moved because we think what you are saying is useless or stupid either. They are moved because we think that the subject matter is not posted where it will get it's most direct audience. We move things so that YOU the poster have a better chance of getting your question answered. We move posts so that the info listed is disseminated to the right crowd. We move the posts so that the information contained in them is in a place where people would expect to find it.

But I know one thing is for sure, if no threads were moved, and no users were warned, there would be some other angry member posting up a thread. He would be complaining about this place is out of control and how the flaming gets in the way of the actual info. He would alse be complaining that when he does searches on past topics, he never finds the info he needs.

Either way, someone will be complaining.

I'm sorry that you know of 35 people who have stopped posting here. But in truth, this site has never seen more activity than it is getting right now. There are some 13,000 registered members. At any given time these pages are being viewed by over 300 people. On weekends the number is substatially higher. So the 35 you know are of very little consequence in she scheme of things.

The truth to life is that different boards take on different flavors over time. This site is no different. The flavor of a board is determined not just by what moderators and the owner of the site do, but also by the actions of the individual members.

In the end, if this board is not to your taste, you should look elsewhere for your Evo info.

SC~

Jeebus H Cripes. Your last two threads on the subject were put in Site Feedback/Suggestions...why would this one be any different? See why we have to move so much ****?

There will be resolution to the Tech Forum problem, however it will not be immediate. Believe it or not Mark does have a life outside of these forums, as do the moderators (who cannot create or remove forums FYI). Evolutionm.net is constantly growing and changing. Just because you or any user complains or dislikes something does not make it the staff's priority. Like I've said before, we do what we can to accomodate, but we can't please everyone. The tech forums will be "fixed" in the near future, so please stop posting new threads on the same subject. You've already got two you could have posted in...or at least you could have posted in the proper forum.

to keep this place civil doesn't mean moving every technical post out of the tech forums. See your answer is just BS too. I totally understand the role of moderators, and what they have to do, but the tech forum is a perfect example of a moderator gone bad. Why move every tech question out of tech forum? wheres the logic or reason for this? Why then is every forum on this site NOT the ame way>? The first step towards any solution is to admit you have a problem, but certain mods on here think that what they are doing is so special, that they are all high and mighty, that they are doing everything for the good of the board, but what they are doing makes no sense!

Again, i'm not hating on every person here, or every mod, just the ones in the evo tech forum who won't listen to the member's complaints about the board.

The reason i have to keep posting "such bull****" is because you guys erase all the damn posts, or move them to places where nobody looks or cares to look, just to save your own ***. No power trip? come on, corruption is the name of the game to you.

I think you're missing the point entirely.

Mark is aware of the problem. Their should be resolution soon. Honestly, my own personal feeling is if you're gonna leave cuz of it then goodbye. If you don't understand that the problem will be fixed shortly then I don't know what else to tell you. Just because you don't like or understand the answer doesn't mean it's bull****.

ok...I just finished reading this heavy-winded thread, and I'm a lesser person for it. EvoInSoCal; I understand you're bitter, but EXACTLY what are you bitter about? Could you please explain, in some detail, what you're angry about? I think everyone would have a better response to your complaints if you were: a.)Professional; b.)Explained the problem; c.)Provide a suggestion to remedy the issue.

People will think less of you if you just write a thread full of 'hate'. Offer some details to the problem and some suggestions to solve 'em...WE WILL LISTEN...I'm sure the MODS will too!

There is already a thread asking for suggestions which I asked him to check out the FIRST time he posted a new thread on this (despite their already having been several and his posting 3 more of his own AFTER that initial thread).

We WANT suggestions, but only a few people have voiced their opinions and notice EvoInSoCal has never even posted here.

Is this truely helping?

EvoInSoCal,

First let me say, don't let the "newbie" tag on my name fool anybody, I've been a member of this board for a long time but don't post alot, I use it for researching info and since I normaly don't have much info to add I don't post. But I am a member of several boards and also am the webmaster for several websites and I have to say that this site is run very well, especialy for such a large site. Mark and the mods don't make a dime off of a site like this, yet it cost alot to run such a site. Let alone the time spent in design work and PR with all of the venders to insure a pleasent visit to evolutionm.net. I'm not trying to say there aren't any problems but really lets be honest... Does your post really help fix them? All your post did is bash the mods... and give very "vague" examples of things they are doing wrong. This doesn't help... in fact it makes it look like a flame! Which I know your not trying to do... you would just like to see it fixed. And I think, and correct me if I'm wrong because it wouldn't be the first or last time I've been wrong..lol. But it would go alot futher if you gave precise examples of threads being moved with out reason and do it with out calling names or bashing the mods?

Just a suggestion!
