RQST: make New Posts model specific

I tend to just hit the "New Posts" link to browse the forums when I log in, but this is getting less usable with the growth of the Evo X section. Can the New Posts be changed to a popup menu that offers the main sections (e.g. Lancer, Evo 1-9, Evo X, etc.)? I know I can do this with an advanced search, but it gets tedious having to go that way every time. Just a thought ...

I'm assuming you're referring to the "latest posts" section on the main page. This link shows you how to customize it.

thanks for the hint - that's helpful. But actually I was referring to the "New Posts" link on the top menu bar (picture attached).

That routes to the same page as Latest Posts.

sweet . two more questions:

1) in the CP section where I set the topics, there's no entry for Evo 1-9 vs. Evo X. Has it just not been updated yet?

2) is there a way to specify an entire forum (e.g. everything in "Marketplace") without having to specify each individual sub category?

thanks.

It hasn't been updated. I'll work on that now, give me a few minutes.

Edit: I lied, it's not something I can change. However, it's easy to figure out the numbers. The number is in the link to each section, for example, the link to Evo X general is:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/fo...play.php?f=250

So the number you'd use to customize the "latest topics" section would be 250.

weird, I can't get mine to work. is it supposed to be in brackets?

eg. (250, 252)
or
250,252
(without the brackets)

actually I tried both ways, but it doesn't seem to be doing any filtering when I click the "new posts" button on the top of every forum page (refer to pic in voidhawk's post)
Am I missing something here?

(EX: 8,23,35,46) MAKE SURE TO SEPARATE EACH ID WITH A COMMA! NEVER END WITH A COMMA!!!!

just comma's no spaces or brackets...I just modified mine and it works fine
