can someone tell me how to set it up default so that when i post in a thread it will not subscribe me by instant email notification? I want it instead to just subscribe me with no emails.

Hi,

Click on the 'User CP' link. (top left black bar any page). Under the 'Settings and Options' header on the left select 'Edit Options'. Under 'Messaging and Notifications' is the 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' drop down selection. Hope this helps.
