I tried searching for all my own threads (both through advanced and by clicking on my name and selecting there) and both do not provide any results

can we just get the regular vb search back, this custom jazz is stinking it up constantly. And when it does work, it returns results based on thread date instead of last post date making it difficult to find thread with the keyword and RECENT activity.

the new one, when it works, is great.

however, I have tried 11 times today to search the same thing "EVO IX".

my first search came up with great results, however, the remaining ten came up with literally nothing.

Let's be serious here EVOM.net, since when has the search feature been useful, can you remind me? you whats worse than having all the information you need right at your fingers tips, not being able to find it. The search feature should really be a button that does nothing, because if I go page, by page, I will accomplish more, in less time, than the search feature provides.

EVOm.net, everything about this site is great, however, SEARCHING the site has proved to be a waste of time. Either you can get it right, or not. For the time this is taking, Ill gladly donate the funds needed to get someone on your end who can fix this problem in a flash.

want reference to how a search feature should work, go to my350z.com.

The search has always sucked IMO, I had a quote forever that it was equal to the search function of Yahoo in the early 90s. That was before this swap, I haven't used it yet, and don't really feel like ever using it. It is faster and easier to go to Google and search for what you need (since it can pull from this site) than it is to search from here IMO. But, that's just my opinion, I'm sure people who know exactly how to get it to work get results, me... I type in something like "FP White" as the user above, and it pulls up the Las Vegas thread as the number one because they've mentioned an FP White a few times. Hardly the "best" result to be on the top of the list. (This is just an example, and not what actually may happen when you do FP White, nor is it even an example of what may happen on the search function now, point is, it was a PITA to me before, and seems to be a PITA to more people now).

Hi,

Select 'Post Date' instead of 'Revelence'. See what that gives you.

I am having a real hard time finding posts that I made from a day ago to 2 weeks ago. That time frame for the search sucks.
