I respectfully ask that the EvoScan threads be brought back in the EcuFlash section. These threads have tons of information on a program that a good amount of users utilize. By removing them you have made a statement that this site is not about its users, but about how this site can make more money!

I understand that the creator of EvoScan is not a vendor, but in most of the threads you (evom.net) removed, the users where discussing the program and how to improve it. Please re-instate the Evoscan threads, clean any information that you deam advertising and contact the user regarding vendorship. This site is starting to get the reputation of "over-moderation" and that it is now a business and not for the community. I am not sure how you deal with that, but driving away your clientele is not a good way to run a business.

This site is very expensive to run, and in order to keep it free for all users, we require that businesses register with us in order to do business here. It wouldn't be fair to all the other companies to start making exceptions for others just because they refuse to obide by the rules. We have a variety of vendor packages, including some that are very affordable for the small home-grown business. EvoScan has been given chance after chance to get in line with our requirements.

as for now, the threads will not be brought back

we aren't over-moderating anything, we are simply being fair...many vendors pay to be here and evo4mad did not...that is unfair to every single vendor that pays

 

I appreciate both of your responses and understand your position. From a user perspective, it gets very disappointing when good information is deleted and can't be referenced.

As the other Staff members have said, we try to hold everybody to the same standard as that is really the only fair way to run this site.
