Price a Must in FS threads

I think it should be a must for all for sale items to have a price posted- at the very least the cars for sale section. I see these 15 page cluttered threads of OPs complaining about getting lowball offers, when they will not even list a price. This forum has rules about lowballing in for sale threads so why not just post a price!! I see more and more forums these days have a guide to go by for selling something and it really cleans up the thread.

for example

Full Name:
City:
State:
Car Make and Model:
Color:
Mileage:
Vin:
Price:

agree, this isnt ebay or another auction site. price should be mandatory in the non vendor classified sections

this has been brought up before and here is the unfortunate reality

there are only so many mods and we are busy as it is...the fs forums is a lot of work

if the op doesn't post pictures or a price, they are only hurting themselves

you can certainly request that info but they don't benefit from not posting it

Everytime i list something for sale i list a price or a price in mind. However the guys that say shoot me an offer. Well they're the ones that aren't in for a quick/easy sale.

That turns me off big time and then there are the guys that don't post pics. I mean it's already nerve raking buying from a complete stranger just from a pic. Anything less is just

I agree that every FS thread should have a price in it, but as said before it would be almost impossible to enforce. I would suggest that the members here have the ultimate power to force this change: refuse to do business with or comment in threads that do not have a price listed.

I agree about pricing 100%.

I'd also like to see if there's a smarter way to remove some of the items which have sold. Many people do not seem to update their threads. Maybe we could have an automatic delete if there are no posts in a certain time frame, like 30 days.

Also, for searching purposes, it would be cool if we could agree on some certain terminology. Maybe the seller would check boxes of the types of items they were selling (i.e. Wing, Rims, etc.). Many of these parts have alternate names (spoiler/wheels as an example), or are misspelled). Forcing the seller to pick certain boxes would help buyers search for parts they need more effectively, including ones that may be included in a part out.

Just an idea, not sure how realistic it is.
