I'm also 16, which will change this upcoming week because of my birthday.

No matter what happens, don't feel too bad. My mom's friend took her driving test eight times before she passed.

My friend had to take it four.

Unless you're blind, deaf, and are missing an arm and a leg (hell, even if you are missing an arm and a leg), you can't do much worse.

What age can you get you learners permit and license over in Yankeeland? Here in the land of OZ ( ) it varies state to state. Where I live in Victoria, you can get learners permit at 16 and license at 18. Just curious.

It varies from state to state. In NJ it's 16 for permit and at 17 you get a partial license...then full license after 6mos of driving. Don't ask...stupid new laws to cut down on underage drinking and driving.

When I got mine it was permit at 16 and license at 17.

Hobie, i think that law is different all throughout new jersey. I live in Morris County and i know someone who just got their license and well, it happens to be a full license.

and to think, i always thought stupid laws effeted me, such as block scheduling...heh, im glad, that was only thing i hated when i was in HS.

If you want it bad enough, you'll read the book and so forth. It really isn't that hard, just know where you can and can not park, how fast you can go on highways, what to do at different intersections, right of way, alochol, i think i even had a question on what route numbers go south and which go east...

its not hard at all...again if you want something, you'll get it.

Dont wait too long, because than you become dependent on rides, and some people dont like that.

peace

The DMV is run by the state.

Sounds to me like they screwed up or he was grandfathered.
