I noticed how the How tos/Installations section seems to be a lot of people asking how to do something. my suggestion is making a whole thread devoted to how tos/instructions and that branches off to Engine/Performance, Suspension, Car Electronics, and such. And on these threads instead of other people asking how to do something, it would be a bunch of good, detailed, pictures included, instructions.

the benefit of this..it's easier to find, no need to make a separate thread to ask people how to do something and overall a lot more organized.

so what do you all think?

 

The problem with that is you usually get 50 requests and maybe 2 answers that are detailed, if they even answer the question. Personally, I think requests are the reason the Evo how to/install forum is so cluttered. I'll be the first to admit I mod the Lancer how to/installs like an *******, but there's a reason behind it. EVERYTHING in there is useful. EVERYTHING. If you look there and your topic is covered you WILL find your answer. If you run a search and find a thread there it WILL help you out. Anyway, If you have a request, post it in troubleshooting, show and shine, general, or the appropriate tech forum, and if the response is worth making a how to out of then PM me and I'll add it to that forum.

 

ok, well my idea is just about installs and general info i guess, so people dont ask about the simple, what's the 0-60 time or something like that or if anyone wnats to know how to install..say a header or something. that person would find things easier in that install section or whatever.

i know in the Audio section, there is a good post about installing headunit, speakers, where to run the wires through and etc. so i dunno, maybe sticky those good writeups somewhere in the appropriate forum..well whatever you think. it's just a suggestion.
