http://pxl.ibpxl.com/evolutionm.net.js is causing some fairly slow page-loads for me. FYI.

My pages have been loading very slowly as well. I have tried here at work on a fast connection with an XP computer, and at home on my 3mbps and Windows7 computer, and it seems that i have to click multiple times or wait a while for pages to load... Lots of traffic these days??

I've tried on my new Windows7 laptop, my older XP desktop, and a XP desktop at work and I can't replicate the errors you're finding..

I get a lot of non-responses lately (last couple weeks). Request a page and it'll sit there for 30 seconds or so before it times out. Something just clicking it again helps, but not always. I only experience this on evom. I post on a good number of other forums. Happens at work and at home. It's pretty common too. I'd say 1 out of 10 page loads times out.

I take back the 1 in 10 comment. It's more like 1 in 5 lately that times out. It's not network connectivity either. Pinging the evom server results in a nice clean connection. Out of 12 hours of pings (nearly half a million ping attempts) only 7 of them timed out. That's exceptional.

a lot of the delay is the new facebook login stuff. Very annoying.

The JS is all advertising junk. Add an entry in your hosts file for it and never see the delay again

The IB ad servers SUCK and cause a ton of slowdowns.

Hosts file entry doesn't make sense that it would fix it, because once a resolution is made, that entry is cached until TTL is reached and cache expires. A resolution request isn't made every time you load a page...

I think he's talking about null routing it so that it immediately fails instead of waiting on the server that is causing the delays to respond.

Question

Just so the people who say they haven't had any problems don't think the rest of us are crazy:

I'm not really concerned with database errors and such, more with advertisers servers slowing down the site. I have now had to add jbrlsr.com to my blocked list, it was causing slow page loads too.

pages don't seem to load at will on first click. i have to either hit back and forward for the page to load. hitting refresh while stuck on loading seems to do the trick too.

I have not seen any other reports of this type. The site has been consistently loading quickly for me. There was a software issue addressed yesterday by our tech folks. It involved blank pages appearing after submitting a post. Have you run a scan for adware or a virus? Thanks.
