hey, how about this...

we have:
- General
- Tech Forum
- How tos / Installation
- Show and Shine
- Audio and Security
- and Vendor Classifieds

why not a tune up forum?
where there's nothing but tune up discussions and stuff...
granted that this could be in the how tos thread but why not?
I'm sure it would be very useful for all of us (noobs and vets together)

I know that I for one would love to learn how to do a complete tune up on my car some day... I mean what better way to "be one with your car" than that way? like getting seriously down and personal with your favorite toy...

again, I appologize ahead of time if this shouldn't be posted here, or at all...

what do you guys think?

Usually, I'm capable of providing a reason that an addition to the forums isn't needed, but I have thoughts about this one.

I don't think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it might actually be cool, if people use it.

And if Mark adds it...he'll need a new mod...and I volunteer!

LOL!

I think that's pretty much what the engine tech and FI tech forums are for. Anything that's really useful I'll make a how to out of if someone gives me a link and a request.

Besides that, ain't much to tune per se unless you have some form of engine management or adjustable suspension. Unless you just mean how to bolt things on and unbolt others. Maybe I'm missing the point, but I think we have everything pretty well covered aside from tunable engine management forums...which will be coming soon with any luck.

i mean, it was just a suggestion...
and i totally understand where you're coming from hobie.
but the reason why i braught this up is because, maybe there should be a forum such as the one i mentioned because a lot of the questions that we may have can't be discussed in the tech forums, maybe it's because they don't seem to fit in there, OR we just won't get our answers there... seeing as tho a lot of us easily ignore some threads

eh, oh well...

ooh... maybe not a forum, but a tutorial page at evom on how to do a whole tune up on your car, from beginning to end that would be great, and very informative to us that would like to get down and dirty and personal with our toys

i mean, the purpose of the forum itself would be
HOW TO TUNE UP YOUR CAR and stuff...
like... working with yer spark plugs, the wiring, oil filters and oil changes, break fluids, how to check if you need some work done in your car, keep a car diagnostic in check... you know, stuff like that...

it'll be fun, i promise
and i'm sure it'll cut a whole lot of noob questions that keep getting asked over and over again...

i'm sure we can all benefit from a forum like that. It'll deffinately cut (after time) the having to go to an auto shop to get your car tuned up and having to pay for labor lol, so it's a deffinate win win situation
