Is it possible when clicking on a thread title, to go to post #1 and not the first "unread post" on the last page. Is there anything in the settings for this?
Whenever i click on the title it takes me to last page of a thread. Then i have to click page one, and do a bunch of scrolling to get to the first post.

I don't think anyone has responded because, by default, when you click on a title of a thread it starts at the first post.

Have you changed your settings? If you did, that's why.

You can change your settings by clicking on the "User CP" link in the upper of the navigation bar at the top.

Then scroll down a bit and choose "Edit Options."

Then scroll down a bit until you see "Thread Display Mode" and in the drop down menu there is a choice for "Oldest First" and "Newest First."

 

The only time it jumps to the first unread post is when you click this image:

Otherwise, by default, it goes to the first post in the thread.

 

Thank you atombomb33, that is exactly what i was looking for. It was set on 'oldest first'. I've looked before for this setting but didn't see it. It's much better now.
I also had to change a bunch of other settings to "use forums defaults".
