Anyone else sick of all the locked threads?

First evom is absolutely void of any tech info whatsoever. There is more tech info to be found on clubsi than here why? The major tech threads ar locked dropping into the "search function" abyss usually unfinished and not brought up again. This is due to the grab *** suposedly- thats an excuse for lazy modding just locking it and forgetting about it. There was one for the first time (non tech) that was actually cleaned up and reposted so I know at least 1 mod knows what to do.

You are right, **** I was looking for dinner here last night over fried rice. Need to put that in the **** pile. We need to have a REAL tech section and make it easy to use. This place has over 100 different damn areas, and the front page has way to much crap on it. I sure wish they would make this like every other BBS that WORKS! This page is all index and no content and same **** over and over every damn day. Can my evo beat a X, what the best car under 100k, what's the best car made, All that should be OFF TOPIC and MOVED only real stuff. http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/faq.htm

Check that out, more info then this board in just the FAQ. We need to have something like that and when people sign up make them use this only for a few days. I dono, it just takes for ever to find anything here.

True that. The search function pisses me off. I use it and don't complain but damn it is limited by how long ago the thread was made. We just need a page that has like Tech articles-- like the how to install ______ , and turbo upgrades, cam research, bla bla. that way you read that ( and you may have to spend a few days) but you will know damn near everything about the evolution and turbo cars.

See how I **** mod the Lancer how to/install section? That and my response in the other search function thread pretty well summarize my feelings.

Remember that there are two sides to this.

The users also have to be mindful of attempting to stay on topic within the thread.

An Ot post within an otherwise technical thread is only a minor annoyance. If other people respond to that OT post, the thread teeters off course. This then often turns into a flame...then the thread gets locked.

So when you see OT in a technical thread, ignore it. Don't feed the fire. Also, please feel free to report it to a moderator using the button at the lower right half of the post. We would be happy to prune away the dead brush to keep the thread alive.

The issue isnt locking the thread the issue is not cleaning the thread (You know moderating it) and reopening the tech thread instead its locked ignored falls to the search abyss unanswered and unresolved- Not exactly fufilling the purpose of infospreading.

The info's there. The onus is on you to pick out what's useful if you want it. We do what we can to keep things clean, but this site is not our lives. Remember we do this because we care about the site, not because we have nothing better to do.

Make me a list of 10 threads you want cleaned and PM them to me. I'll clean them. When I'm done you can send me another list. It may take some time, but it will get done.
