I have to resort to using the mobile version because all of a sudden my home fibre internet simply don't allow my pc to get in here
Thought its just me but checking with my friend business line can't get in either

Is the mobile version down right now?? For the past few days, going to m.evolutionm.net on my N900 instantly redirects me to forums.evolutionm.net instead.

Was working fine for the past few months up until recently.. and while the mobile site isnt perfect, it loads much faster and is easier to read and navigate throughout the site than the regular full version.

 

Fix it? On my HTC evo phone, I had to go into the settings mode and click on mobile networks, to stay out of the mobile version. Not sure about the iPhone.

THE MOBILE VERSION FOR THIS SITE IS TERRIBLE!

1. The promting to use the mobile site is annoying, I don't like having to constantly click "no". Sometimes it automatically loads up as the mobile site which is also very annoying, escpecially because as others mentioned, hitting normal version at the bottom of the page doesn't alwasy give you the normal version. In fact more often then not it seems to just reload the mobile version.

2. When I had my iphone, the back link was odd. If you were in this thread and hit back it wouldn't take you back to the "Site Feedback and Suggestions" section where this thread and others you're interested in reading are listed. It would take you all the way back to the main EvoM forums listing. So you would then have to renavigate back into "Site Feedback" before you could see the rest of the threads. Why wouldn't you have it take you back to the section you were just in?

3. On my new Droid x2 all the replies are aligned to the right. I understand distinguishing between the original post and the replies, but do you have to use right align and make all the reply paragraphs retarded?

I havn't been on it lately so I forget the other issues, but in sumarry its pretty bad. Maybe some people like it, but you could atleast disable the automatic mobile site promt bs for the rest of us and our sanity.

 

m.evolutionm.net is still down for me, anyone else??

..cleared cookies & cache on my handset, but m.evo is still redirecting to forums.evo

And again, the mobile site wasn't perfect, but it worked pretty good for me

I'm guessing the website is just recognizing my phone's browser as a desktop browser now for some reason.. maybe cuz it's a mobile version of Firefox? Oh well.. it's just weird that it was working fine before, though.
