It isn't just the misspellings, which can happen to anyone. Worse, it is the improper usage of homonyms such as to/too, break/brake, your/you're as well as lose/loose, which bugs me more than anything. As of late, I seem to be making more typos. I often reread my posts and cannot believe the typographical errors that I have made.

I would like to see a sticky pointing out very commonly misspelled words and incorrect homonym usage. BTW, there is a difference between a typo and misspelling. A typo is typing the wrong letter on the keyboard. A misspelling is where a person does not know the difference between two words such as "loose" when they mean "lose".

this pisses me off to no end as well. we tend to drop capitalization, sometimes type too fast and without a quick re-read... but come on don't abuse the language by being ignorant.

your/you're
lose/loose
definAtely/definitely

just to name a few. my best friend is a terrible speller and it drives me ****ing crazy every day. today he said a peanut was a "penut" and yesterday i had to find his S2000 keys in his bottom "droor".

*facepalm*

Haha got me for a second there. But no problem. I just figure you guys want to look as professional as possible so every little thing is important. And I can't stand when people talk improperly. To the extent of "Hey, i have dis trunk 4 sale yo bye it" -_-

90% of the people on this site are oblivious to the difference between there, their and they're. The grammar on most internet forums is **** poor, EvoM being no exception. This site is all about sharing info, and grammar doesn't need to perfect to convey a message. Most people just don't realize that the quickest way to discredit yourself is to type with crappy grammar. Or they just don't care, which is sad....take pride in your language or GTFO of my country. Been waiting for a long time to rant about this, no offense intended...

I live in Colonie NY

And I agree with you. My grammar isn't perfect, but it's not really that hard to use it correctly. Sadly, our society is in a technological age where texting shortcuts are used in every day conversation.
