Wow, all of you use microsoft windows and have to worry about that virus & malware crap.

Do yourself a favor and switch to linux, it's free and much better. No need for virus protection or malware detection software..

If it happens again, please try to get the click through URL. Also, can you remember if the re-direct was to 'my file share.com' or 'myfilestore.com'. Thanks!

Not everyone feels comfortable enough to wean themselfes off the corporate microsoft nipple. But for those that wanna give it a shot, try ubuntu.

I only use m$ windows for gaming, everything else is linux.
Some other usefull firefox add-ons: AdBlock Plus, Ghostery, Facebook block.

And... IE? Seriously? lol

I've gotten a URL hijack on my work PC w/Chrome, and my home Mac with Safari. It's got to be something in one of these banner ads. Sometimes the advertiser provides their own codes, and can sneak hijacking URL scrips without the forum knowing it.

Usually when a member reports a AV alert. they come from either a picture someone posted or an ad served up that is hosted on a site Google has deemed not safe. We check all reports and at this time not finding any additional alerts. Thanks.

Hi,

That is a separate issue that IB is aware of and working to solve. Thank you!

Never get on here But just figured I'd share that I followed a google link to EvoM(rather then typing a direct address in like I normaly would and got redirected to this Myfilestore page... . LINK

Couldn't get it to do it again...
But,
My browsing over all in pretty secure though through multiple extensions in Chrome and Antivirus/Malware programs. I'm with some of the posters above tough. If it wasn't for Evoscan I would only run my Linux Os on this system... . lol

This just happened to me, too. When I went back and reloaded, the page came up fine. But then I got a pop-over 'Quiz' asking me which retailers I would be most likely to support.

Looks like some really bad ads have worked their way into the rotation.

the myfilestore thing has happened to me 5+ times over the past few days. each time either my Weboftrust(WOT) chrome addon stops it and reports the webpage is unsafe or my AV(webroot secureanywhere) blocks it.

Not sure how to duplicate it but its always when i search something on google for evom and click the URL and somehow it goes to myfilestore.com

there are viruses everywhere, apple and linux are much smaller markets in comparison to Microsoft so people prefer to go with the bigger
