EVO vendor classifieds...
Now we have two different places to look for exactly the same information.... Why was this done? Vendors who have stuff on sale are posting it in both forums to make sure it don't get missed by anyone.

The announcement hasn't been officially made regarding the split in the Vendor forum. But I can give a quick outline of the intent of the 2 seperate forums.
The Evo Vendor 'for sale' forum is a place where Vendors can post up items and sales for product that they have in stock and ready to ship right away. This is where site members can go when they need a part right away.
The Evo Vendor 'Group buys/specials' forum is a place where Group buys are to be formed. It's also a place where vendors can arrange pricing for special order items that they do not currently have in stock. This is where site members can go if they want a part for the absolute lowest prices, and when the part isn't needed right away.
It'll take a little while to get the 2 forums properly seperated. But we are hoping that this will give site members more choices and flexibility regarding the stuff they want for their Evo's.

If you stick with this idea, it may be a good notion to change the name "Group buys/specials" to "Group buys/special order" Most vendors see no difference between a "sale" and a "special" on their parts so they end up posting identical advertisements in two forums.

Things in the -specials- forum are a little confusing right now. That is just due to the fact that it is what used to be the old -Vendors- forum....just renamed. About a week ago, the Vendors were given instructions regarding what sorts of 'deals' are appropriate for each forum. It'll just take a little time to fine tune things.
If you are looking for a part that you would like shipped to you today, you would go to the -for sale- forum. If you wanted the absolute lowest price possible, and are not worried that it might take weeks to months to get the part, then you would go to the -specials- forum first.
I'm sure Mark will read this thread shortly and take note of your suggestion. I think it's a good one. Any way we can clarify the forum titles to make things easier for the users is a good thing in my book.

Yeah, I think I can re-word that to special order. The main difference between each forum is the availability of the product. The For Sale forum requires that the products be in stock as of the date that the item is posted. The group buy / special order will be for anything else essentially. Vendors will also be grouping their items into single threads so things are more concise.
