Classified feedback!! Please help!

Hi everyone!

Our classified forums are very active and we would like to know if there are changes we can make to improve your experience. Please reply with specific suggestions we can discuss.

Just as important, please let us know if you feel they work for you with the current format and no change is recommended. We would like your input!! Thanks.

The wheels/tires sections should be shared/merged IMO.

Hi!

The classified wheels/tires are a single forum. Are you referring to something else? Thanks!

These should all be a single forum meaning they should all be merged into 1 single section. You can keep the link under each generations subsection, but have the link all direct to a single forum that is shared between them all. I don't think the different rims/wheels are that big of a difference between the different generations/models since they all share a common lug pattern. Like Evo 9 aftermarket rims can easily be put onto an Evo X.

every Car FS ad should contain the exact statement of whose name is on the title to prevent curbstoning and the epic my uncle has the title but is overseas FS ads.

Enforce the pictures and info. None of this "I will post pictures later" or "text me for pictures". If you don't have pictures then don't post. Easy as that. No pictures = lock IMO. Also, make a standard form of posting item.
Name
Product
Condition
Price
Shipping available
Reason for sale..

ETC....

I think people who post an item in the classified section should be required to keep the item status updated . I do like the new "SOLD" feature, but it seems there are a lot of folks that post things up and then abandon the thread. Mucking things up for everyone else to sift through.
I also agree that the pic policy should be better enforced. Tired of looking at adds that "will add pics when they get home from work".

It's hard to get (some) people to care enough to maintain their FS threads, especially once the item is sold. It might create more problems than it fixes but an auto lock after X days of inactivity might help.

If you see a for sale ad lacking a picture, report it and we'll take care of it.

When I was looking to buy an Evo about a month ago I had to cancel two deals from members selling their Evo's on here because the cars were in someone elses name. I would love to see a rule where people that put their car up for sale must post a picture of the title (with their address obviously edited out). Evo's aren't cheap, and when you're financing through a bank they will only issue the check to the titleholders name. Also make the sellers have to disclose if there is a lien still on the car.

Every time I go to the classified evo 1-9 for sale I have to zoom out of the page to be able to clink on the scroll down link.

Allow the original post to be deleted once the item is sold or is no longer for sale. Sure would clean things up.
