KK, is there any way you can allow us to show a pic in our signature? The Supra Forum has that feature, and it makes the forum look alot more welcoming.

 

I want pictures too, but it says in the forum help that no pictures are more friendly to 56k users, or something like that.

Personally, I'd really rather not see that. An avatar is enough. Images in/as sigs tend to get nauseating.

a feature for premium members only is not a good idea imo...i mean isn't the reason for disabling pic in sig to speed up the forum?? and now u only have certain ppl have it...i donno if im explaining it well enough but im just saying it aint a good idea to have this feature for just premium

 

I agree w/ Lan Evo. Either have it or don't. It's dumb to leave a few people out just because they aren't gonna' pay monthly. I's only a picture, and you could even limit it to 1 picture per member in signature. Plus, have a certain size limit, just liek the avatar. Please, KK, a pic in the signature woud make this forum stand out a lot better!

if you are so intent on using a pic in your signature why dont you just attach one to the bottom of every post? I feel this should be something to stay away from. avatars are fine and i like this new member status thing you got going on... only, when will we see an evolved member image?

 

i don't think a pic would be a good idea...right now the forums look really neat...if pics are added i think its going to get sloppy. jus my opinion.

 

the forums do look neat, but i think the pictures add a little more individuality. think of seeing a funny *** pic or a really nice car, then everyone's gonna remember everyone else better

I think it's a horrible idea, even for premium members. Check out other forums where they have it. It's so overly abused. Just like the damn smileys, and the signature space in some cases already.

I mean, we already have certain members who have signatures that take up half of a page listing every damn mod they have, down to shift knobs and lighted pedals, decals, and everything. I mean, isn't posting pictures, mods, and all that other stuff for the registry? What's the point of HAVING a registry if we do that?

As for remembering each other, if you can't remember a person by their name, or their avatar... well, g'luck to you.

Our image system will only allow 1 image with a max height of 50pixels so it shouldn't very intrusive. I think we'll also be setting up new signature rules as well.... max number of lines, etc.
