Please change the "How to..." forum back to the old format...

It's very difficult to search and navigate with two seperate forums.

I prefer to read a "How to" and ask the original poster in the same thread for tips or help without having to navigate to a second thread. That's the format that has been used on every other major automotive message boards and it has worked great.

Thanks for your consideration.

By returning to the old method, we're faced with the problem of clutter. If I remember correctly, many members brought up the issue to us saying how they couldn't find anything because of the thread being buried with posts that do not have nothing to do with the actual how to itself. I'm sure you remembered that time where the state of the How To forum was in dismay.

Honestly, its very easy to navigate and ask questions. It's just approximately 2 steps. Go inside the How To thread, click the redirect located on the last post then it'll take you to the other copy that was meant for questions, then ask away. Simple as that. I don't find it that hard.

If you do the dirty work and clean the clutter up (that's if we switch it back to the same method), you got my vote. As far as it goes, its a headache, and I know that first hand.

That's partially what I'm referring to. The other part is to keep up with the clutter daily if we switch back. More work for me as well as Blain. It doesn't seem to be a problem much with our current setup (considering we only have one member who says otherwise).

Fair enough. I just found the other method to be easier to access the original post and poster. Less navigation.

Most people that complain about not being able to find anything are the same people that post "Which cat-back is best?!" after the same question has been rehashed 50 times.

I can accept it if it makes your job easier though.

I think it's a bit tougher to ask questions, but in the end this format will keep the questions on one area so the poster can always update the how-to for those who read it.
