this site doesnt have the vibe of NASioc. Its really the only thing i can compare it too. But seems there is alot less nonsence going on over there . I dont know if we have a younger crowd or what.

yes we do. also, we are fairly young compared to Nasioc. i have been a member over there for over 5 years and it has changed. although right now they also have a lot of new younger members that got the STI so i know that they are dealing with alot of the same issues. i will say this though, they don't have nearly as much vendor problems....

Fixed the thread title so nobody makes fun of you anymore.

We definitely have a younger crowd in general, especially due to the Lancer and Ralliart forums, but it seems that has very little bearing on the tuner vs tuner arguments that have become all too common. They're pretty much religated to the Evo forums and Evo tuners. Some personalities just are not going to get along because of their tuning style, attitudes, or whatever. We all know this, we all accept this, but nobody, at least in the staff, wants to see this on the forums. What can we do about it? This has yet to be determined, but as Snir said we're open to suggestions.

i do not know if this would be a viable option but on some boards, there is a reputation scale. this could be something that is controlled by the moderators or supermods or whatever. the rep number would go up for good relations and would go down for bad realtions ie flaming, bad attitudes, etc. probably not too good an idea but jsut throwing something out.

Alot of the BS can be attributed to SOME moderators. All the little cliques and post whoring and thread hijacking is supported by SOME of them, he*l they even participate in some of it.

As far as vendors go..... no comment! We have some of the most immature vendors around. Some of that is caused by YOUNG customers who come online with their problems before even giving the vendor a chance to fix it.

Thats actually a really good idea PG. The DSM board I'm on uses this exact same software and it has that, only problem is that personal issues can effect someones reputation.

PG - Both.

Off topic is to discuss exactly that. Topics not pertaining to the main topic of the board. If someone starts a thread about lets say...... Football. Thats the spot for it, but you'll have folks who hijack the thread with complete and utter BS. Just because it's in OT doesnt make it free game for post whoring and hi jacking. It can be a legit thread thats not car specific.

That is the main reason I hadn't started using it. I could see people try to "attack" someone's reputation. That and it might add a lot of load on the server
