Quality shops in Austin with Evo experience
yeah if your willing to make the drive aaron and the guys at Gotham are a good bunch....aaron has alot of experience with evvos....he used to work for another "evo vendor" that will remain nameless......
If you want to talk to others that have had experience with shops in and around Austin, the first Saturday of each month there is a "open air" car show in Oak Hill (290 & 71) at the Albertsons parking lot around 7:00 pm. There are several Evo's that show up that all have had very positive experiences at MZM. Check it out.

I've had people from one of those two places bring me their cars to "un-****"... granted, this was a few years back, but it was scary. I'll not say which one at this point... I have no professional opinion of MZM... I'm just not fond of them. No particular reason... and I'd not advise anyone against their services. They just "rubbed me the wrong way". That leaves me stuck when people like Mitsuorder ask who I'd use in Austin. If I needed someone certified, plain and simply, I don't know where I'd go.
Now there's a wealth of useful information

sorry, I know this post has kind of died already, but just thought I'd chime in late and say I've never had any problems with Protech. Took my Civic to them for a lot of stuff, and now I take my Evo there. All those guys are really cool to me. I actually didn't know MZM existed until a few weeks ago, and I'm gonna go check 'em out and try to get some dyno runs done.
I thought you had some friends at a dealership. Are they still around?
I did not know insurance covered blown motors. How does that work. Are they covering it because a gas station gave you a round of bad gas or something like that?

Hey Kamal, damn man haven't seen you around in a long time. The dealership is now under new management and they have turned a complete 180 in attitude towards customers. There are policies you can buy for your vehicles covering repairs that the dealerships refuse under warranty.
ps. this has all been taken care of since my initial post. a big thanks must go out to Zeus and malibujack
