That's a pretty sweet deal, but if I paid 40 bucks to join and then bought that battery i'd end up paying more than the regular price

Pretty sweet for people who are already members tho This isn't the only discount available. Check the website. There are also group buys, track days, meets, events, parties, shirts, etc, etc, etc. If you do just some of the things or just buy a few parts with our sponsors you pay for your membership.
