the car has around 13500 miles on it and just recently noticed a strange sound coming from the engine its a whining sound kinda loud and it only comes on around 6k rpm and it also feels like i loose a little power. dont know what it is. an air leak or a belt ....ect. does anybody know what it might be?

 

boost leak. Get the car boost leaked and i think you'll hear it again.

 

how would i go about doing that?

 

I hear a similar noise at that rpm but its not a whinning sound. It's more like a loud suction / pshhhhhh noise . I don't seem to be dropping any boost though.

 

yea thats how it sounds. ok i saw a video of a modded evo with satge 3 burschur vs supra with a big turbo. the evo had 5 ppl in it and the supra had 3 ppl in it they raced 3 times and the evo won all three. ok now on the second run the evo makes that same suction sound that im talking about. sorry dont have a link to the thread and if anybody does please post it. oh yes the guys in the evo were yelling "victory" and all kind of bs..
