I stopped by Home Depot last week, and saw no other Evo's... anyone gonna be there this week? I've racked up almost 1K on my new car (so she's broken in)... So who has the ***** to show me what a few mods can do?

Seriosly... let me know when some of you are getting together, I need to learn.

 

What time does everyone normally go? I was at Home Depot from 8-9pm last Sat. There was a decent crowd, but the import scene was rather slow.

 

I didn't think anyone was comming last weekend... If you guys are comming out this saturday, I'll stop by.

My car is silver... still with paper plates too.

 

I may go Saturday. It would be cool to make this a regular get together.

Unrelated story:

I was comming to a hault in traffic on 35 like 40 minutes ago due to a wreck, and got on it hard for a few seconds so I could make my way over to exit before getting trapped. After my quick 2nd gear pull I smell burning coolant. Alot of buring coolant... So immediately i'm like "WTF?!?", and continue to play with my car on and off boost trying to smell everything that I possibly can. On the way home I got into it hard through a few gears, and all felt normal with no smells whatsoever.
Somones car that was infront of me while changing lanes must be eating coolant like crazy, and it made me paranoid for a good 15 min. ... At least I hope it was somone elses car !

 

I'm surprised you would get on your car hard when you thought your baby was hurt'n. But on the other hand, I know exactly what you mean (when it comes to weird smells while driving). I smell, hear, and feel, weird **** all the time and immediatley start wondering WTF is wrong.

The first weird thing I have had to adjust to with the Evo is the suspension and tires. Every once in a while I feel signs of a mis-alignment or un ballanced tire... only to realise that it's the road and a very sensitive suspension.

 

I'll be there this Sat around 8pm.

 

I'll be there around 9.

 

Trust me, I only got on it hard after miles of easy testing lol. Then I would do bursts trying to recreate the "incident". Then after alot of testing I did a normal pull and it was smooth as glass with no smells whatsoever. I needed some reasurance .

I guess I will come out around 9 then... My car will be dirty, and ready for some action .
