Want an EVO in Austin, TX?

I was talking with the GM (Brian) at the New Mitsu Dealer in Austin (Roger Beasley) and he stated that he still has 3 MRs. Red, GG, Silver. He is having a real hard time moving them. Go in there, mention my name (Kevin) and make him an offer.

Now don't offer him some silly BS price, but make a reasonalble offer and I am sure you can work something out with him. And ask for him.

Austin has had some bad luck with Mitsu dealers in past years leaving a very dark cloud over ATX. Barret and Maxwell were aweful dealers to work with but so far I have been very pleased with how Brian has treated his customers and he seems to want to make the new Mtisu dealer last. Austin needs Roger Beasley to help add variaty to the Mitsu choice, because Gillman in Austin can sometimes be a pain.

Also, if you know someone who wants a new Eclipse, then he has plenty to show and wiling to work with you.

This offer does not apply to punks looking to just "kick the tires"

I am not affiliated with this dealership in any way and am voicing my own experience.

SNAP.

Problem is that Austin is a horrible auto market... just driving down the road to San Antonio generally saves you at least $2k.

I'm not busting ***** as I've not dealt with the New Mitsu dealership here, but Austin as a whole sucks if you are shopping for a "deal".

Thats probably true, but in this case, Brian wants to move these MRs, so the drive for a Mitsu, is probably not worth it. This time.

Thanks for the info. My wife is looking to get a GG MR soon and I can't stand Gillman in Austin. Barrett got a really bad rep on these boards and they heard about it, so when I went it to test drive on, they bent over backwards for me....but they're out of business now so I guess that's a moot point.

My wife got her Mazda6 from Roger Beasley Premiere Mazda in Georgetown and they weren't too bad so it's nice to see another Mitsu dealer in town.

You know, I was the guy who got kicked out of Barret and proceeded to rip them a new one on the board. Long story. Anyway, they got what they deserved.

Yeah, I bet you you could get a real good deal on that GG one they have in stock. Probably let you take it for a spin also. Make sure you ask for Brian and tell him I sent ya.

I was in the process of purchasing the GG EVO 9 MR from Beasley Mitsubishi about two months ago, but they where unwilling to give me a fair value for my trade in. So I went to Gillman Mitsubishi of San Marcos and they gave me a fair value ($3,500 more)for my trade and a decent price on my GG EVO 9 MR. I would have to say the drive was well worth it.

Not to bash your deal, but San Marcos Mitsu is no more. They just or are closing shop. I am sure you got a better deal at the time. I had the opposite exp. with Gillman. Wierd how things work out like that. And I think Roger Beasly was "too excited" when they first opened(2 months ago). But now they have calmed down a little and are willing(dare I say, have) to work with people.

Definately work a stop in.

Well, the wife and I went to RB Mitsu last night but Brian had left for the day. We spoke to the sales guy who said he'll get Brian to give me a call today. My only concern is that their GG MR has 125 miles on it.....and I know some of you guys here have had your way with it!

Heh... I normally don't back dealerships like this, but I need this dealer ship to survive for parts and service(2 blocks from my house) and sshh... Dare I say it? Until my IX MR White gets here. Yep, ordered it last month. Should be there in May. I am pumped. I got a good deal on it without having to make the trip to CA. Not as good as the CA deals but worth it not travel there and back. And so far I am happy with the Roger Beasly. But if anything goes haywire for me, I will be the first to admit I was wrong about RB.

I don't have to have the MR now, so I can wait, plus waiting is half the fun, and I get to pull the plastic off and pull the spacers out of the springs. I am gonna love it! I have been waiting for so long.... Look at the join date. I am a glutten for punishment! But maybe I have got a good one? The IX is supposed to be the shizzle. PLus, I haven't told my brother yet, and he has a 05 STi. THis is going to be fun!

125 Miles on the GG. I bet you could get the same deal I got if not slightly better. I didn't drive or rag on it. Personally I like the red they have there.

Also, make sure you talk to Brian, and mention me. If he doesn't treat you nice, I will go in there and knock heads. ;-)

Bash my deal ...........I really doubt that. My GG EVO 9 MR only had 9 miles and I still got it for $500.00 cheaper and $3500.00 more for my trade-in, than RBM! So start BASHING If San Marcos Gillman is closing, Its irrelevant.........I still got a BETTER DEAL.

Kevin, yeah I mentioned you to Brian and we're trying to set up an appointment with him either after work tonight or Saturday. So your White MR isn't getting here till May? Is that at your request? I thought they could do a dealer swap for much less time...I know Gillman has a white one.....We'll see, if they can't give me a deal we like on the test driven car, we might see if they can do a dealer swap on a GG with less miles.

Whoa there big guy. I said "not to bash your deal" and "I am sure your got a better deal". My point is that, San Marcos dealer is closing or is closed. There for, it is very "relavent" for the post, which is titled "Want an EVO in Austin"

I couldn't be happier for you, seriously. The more better priced EVOs there are, the better deals everyone gets.
