For those with interest, the May SCCA autocross is this Sunday at the Texas Motor Speedway bus lot. Here's a link with details on registration and the event schedule. Hope to see some fellow Evo driver's there.

I'll be running in BSP in 3rd Heat which will be approximately 1:00-3:00pm.

The Bus Lot is on the south side of the Speedway which is the Hwy 114 side. From I-35W, take Hwy 114 about 1/4 mile west and you'll see the very large parking lot on the right with the autocross course setup. I'll be getting there about 7am to get the car ready and walk the course several times. SCCA road racing will be going on inside TMS on the road course for the SCCA Sunburn Grand Prix Double National event. I have a few extra tickets for those who may happen out on Sunday, first-come, first serve. You can also buy them for $10 at the gate.

Thanks guys for coming out to the autocross on Sunday.

'DonMitsu' - I hope the rides weren't too wild. If my runs had been at a different time, I could have given 'DEVO330' and 'TxEvo8' rides too.

'SOLO2M3' and I paxed #3 and #1 with our Evos of the 163 drivers at the event. It should be some good BSP competition for the rest of the season. Results haven't been posted on the SCCA website yet so I'm not certain how 'Tweekscratch' fared in STU.

I'm going to head to the Equipe Rapide event at Pennington Field on May 28. I hope to see more Evos at that event to go up against all the STIs that show.

I might come out and just watch for a bit...not up for racing yet.

 

After a few rides, you'll feel different. Heck, there was a Sonata, 80's Saab, almost everything. The Novice group I was in had street tires and almost everyone was as green as me. Plenty of helpful friendly people out to have a good time.

Even when you aren't driving there are plenty of empty seats you can take a ride in.
We should all get together and do some slalom pratice...

 

Did you see the Mercury Marauder out there? That was funny as hell. The driver was pretty good, but it would have been better with three passengers and a load of groceries in the back.

It would be really cool if more EVO's showed up. I've been running my 03 for 2 seasons and have not had any real problems caused by autocross.
