South Region - Help me with an MBC tuning question

I think I have my MBC turned down to low because I was playing with a Boxter and didn't blow it away quite as impressively as I'd have liked.

I think I may be confusing boost spike with boost peak. Here is my scenario.

4th or 5th gear, 3K rpms, I jump up around the 20psi mark. by about 3.5 to 3.8K it drops to about 16psi and holds about there the rest of the way. Now, I never had the boost gauge without the MBC to see what it would have looked like before, but do I need to turn it up a bit? Is that 20psi just a spike and nothing to concern myself with, and that 16psi needs to be bumped up?

Also having a mechanical boost controller, what amount of error do I have? I'd rather adjust on the side of caution. Also, when I tuned it originally, I did it with 3rd gear pulls, is there a different or more accurate way?

If you're running 93oct you can adjust up to 22psi. What mbc do you have? Falling off to 16 is too low. You're either not running enough boost or you have a possible boost leak.

i had that happen too but not from 20 to 16 psi..but wat i did was just turn it down all the way then reset to the psi you, that helped me..and when you do a 3rd gear pull its suppose to like hit boost quick and maybe drop 1 or 2 psi.

We need to look at it Dan. There are too many variables from how you have the Hallman installed to a possible leak. Let's get together on it soon...

Is your new place close to the old one? Either way, you can just stop by the house next week where I have anything we may need...

I'm a little further North, but not a big deal. I could come straight from work one day, it's further South than my old house was. We'll figure it out.
